Edwin Rios hit his 2nd double down with OKC and it came off the bat at 108. When he hits one, it stays hit! Enjoy the laser show!
Here is video of Chris Taylor’s first rehab at-bat with OKC tonight.
Andre Jackson was letting the ball go with conviction, and it was his best outing of the year. Jackson struck out 10 and walked just 3 in 5 scoreless innings. He has given up just 2 earned runs in his last 14 innings. Check out the breaking ball & changeup.
Congrats to Drew Avans for extending his on-base streak to 39 games! Avans hit .326 in June, & .308 in July to add, and has an on-base % of .376 in the last month of action. Avans is having an extremely good year and one that folks need to take note of!
Congrats to Devin Mann on getting called up to AAA OKC. Mann left the Drillers leading in average (.267), and on-base percentage (.384), and was 2nd in doubles (16), walks, slugging % (.469), and OPS (.853).
Daniel Zamora made quick work of the Bees in the 9th to pick up his 2nd save. Zamora has an ERA of just 2.66 & has 52 K’s to just 16 walks on the year. He also hasn’t allowed an earned run in his last 13 outings and has 18 K’s to just 4 walks during that span.
AA Tulsa Drillers
The Drillers pounded out 10 hits and scored 5 times, but couldn’t keep Northwest Arkansas off the scoreboard enough and dropped a 9-5 decision Tuesday night.
This is John Rooney’s 14th pickoff of the year. 14th! That leads ALL of professional baseball!
Andy Pages hit his 18th home run of the year and his 6th since the beginning of July!
Ryan Ward hit home run #25 which leads the entire organization and all of AA! Ward is more than power though, he’s hitting .303 in July with an on-base % of .364. The dude can flat-rake!
Johnny DeLuca had 3 hits tonight which is his 10th multi-hit game since the beginning of July, & the 4th time during that span he has 3 or more hits in a game. He also has 6 homers during that span & 25 on the year which is just 1 shy of the League & organizations lead.
