AA Tulsa
Josh Stowers just hit a bomb for AA Tulsa to give them a 4-0 lead. 2nd game in a row that he has a homer & 3rd of his last 4 with a hit.
Posted a couple of times at how well Ben Casparius has been pitching lately & that the results were comin’. Well, last night, he was electric going 5.2, 0 Runs, 0 Walks, 7 Ks 6 hits. Pitched backwards, breaking stuff was on point, 95 on the FB.
High A Great Lakes
Hyun Il Choi turned in a very good start going 5, 4 Ks, just 1 run. Choi lowered his ERA to 3.04. Last night was tied for the longest outing of the year in terms of innings & pitches thrown, so good length and great results.
Reinaldo De Paula threw a scoreless inning for Great Lakes & had 2 Ks & gave up just 1 hit. De Paula has gone scoreless in 13 of his last 17 outings.
Taylor Young injected a shot of Good Ole’ Cajun “Kick Ass” into the Loons tonight! He hit the 1st pitch of the game for a 2B, stole 3rd, scored, bunted for a hit his next AB & finished with 3 hits, 2 runs scored, an RBI & 2 stolen bases. And, he’s just gettin’ started!
Benony Robles finished the Great Lakes games with style going 1.2, striking out 3, walking none & recording his 12th save of 2023. Robles lowered his ERA down to 3.45, WHIP 1.08 & he has 45 Ks in just 28.2 innings.

Christian Romero got the start for Single A Rancho & went 5 innings scoreless, had 7 Ks and just 1 walk, Romero is a 20 year old out of Sonora Mexico who has been with the organization since 2021. His ERA is 3.29, so he’s having a good year.Â
Josue DePaula had a big night for Rancho going 4 for 5, and Rayne Doncon had 3 hits as well. DePaula is one of the most talented outfield prospects in the game that was promoted to Rancho earlier this year and has a big frame at 6’3, and a sweet left handed stroke.
Doncon is one of the top infield prospects that has big power, and is learning consistency as his professional career continues to mature.Â
