The Dodgers were in the midst of playing very well when their game got suspended last night. Mookie Betts led off with a basehit, Freddie Freeman followed and Will Smith drove in the games 1st run with an RBI Sac fly.
Get ’em on, get ’em over, get ’em in! It’s hard to overstate the value of getting the lid off early in the game with great team baseball.
Once the Dodgers got the lid off they opened up a can with doubles from Max Muncy and Kike Hernandez to open up a 3-0 lead.Â
Cleveland answered in the bottom of the 1st with a run, then after both teams went scoreless in the 2nd, the skies opened up and it was a wrap.Â
The game was suspended and will resume today at 9:10 Pacific. The Dodgers will get an extra roster spot which will be Ryan Pepiot, who will likely start the 2nd game. The remainder of the 1st game is expected to be a bullpen game.Â

High A Great Lakes
The Loons were only able to scratch 3 runs on the night and lost to the Fort Wayne TinCaps, the High A Affiliates of the Padres 6-3. Great Lakes is having a tremendous season, however, and is 68-47.
Ya’ see somethin’ new every day at the yard & this one is new to me. Taylor Young was going back into 1st, the ball hit him & ricocheted into dead ball territory. He was awarded 3rd, but, on his way to 3rd, didn’t touch 2nd. TinCaps appealed & he was called out. Wow!
