It was too little, too late for OKC, Tulsa got revenge, the Loons got blanked and the Quakes were having a home run derby. There was a lot of great action down on the farm and we’ve got it covered.
AAA OKC Dodgers
OKC waited until the 8th inning to score and it was too little, too late, as they dropped another one to the Tacoma Rainiers, the AAA affiliates of the Mariners, 6-3 at the Bricktown Ballpark in front of 7165 fans.

Andy Burns had 2 hits and an RBI for OKC and has 3 multi-hit games out of the 4 he has played in September and is hitting .385 so far this month. He’s another fringy AAAA guy that could provide depth for LA if he gets hot, which he can do.

Tomas Telis is having a very “under the radar” year for OKC with a .282 average and hit .294 in August. He had 2 hits tonight in the OKC loss to Tacoma.

Aaron Ochsenbein was on point for OKC. He stranded 2 inherited runners and went 1.1 scoreless innings. His 4 seam was 91-92, and his slider was 83-84. Ochsenbein has found his groove as he has gone scoreless in 5 of his last 6 outings.

Danny Duffy threw 9 4-seam fastballs 91-93, 2 changeups 83-85, 2 sliders 83 & 84, and 3 curveballs that were 73-76 in his outing with OKC. This was a bounce-back for Duffy as he allowed 3 his last time out, which was the only outing he has given up a run with OKC.
AA Tulsa Drillers
After losing a tough 4-3 game on Thursday night, the Drillers got revenge and pummeled the Frisco Roughriders, the AA affiliates of the Rangers, 14-2.

Lael Lockhart Jr. was back in his home state & put on quite the performance for his home state crowd. Lockhart Jr. went 4.1 innings & gave up just 1 run on 2 hits and had 5 K’s. Lockhart Jr. has 108 K’s on the year to just 35 walks which is better than a 3:1 K/BB ratio.

Leonel Valera had 3 hits and 5 RBIs for Tulsa and is hitting .354 so far in September with 13 RBIs and an OPS over 1.000.

Ryan Ward had 2 doubles for the Drillers which were doubles 16 and 17 on the year for him, which ties him for 3rd most on the team. Ward leads Tulsa in home runs (28), RBIs (76), slugging % (.504), and OPS (.824).

Andy Pages had 3 hits including his 25th double and 3 RBIs for Tulsa. Pages has 2 doubles, 3 RBIs, 2 runs scored, and 6 total bases in the last 2 games with Frisco.

Guillermo Zuniga was dominant in his 1.1 innings with Tulsa hitting 99 with the fastball and dropping the big slider. Check it out for yourself!

Jose Hernandez was flashing his typical big fastball & slider in his 1 inning of scoreless work for the Drillers. Hernandez has hit 99 with his fastball on multiple occasions this year and has an ERA of just 2.88, a WHIP of just 1.20, and an average against of just .224.
High A Great Lakes
The Loons only collected 3 hits and didn’t score against the West Michigan Whitecaps, the High A Affiliates of the Detroit Tigers. Great Lakes lost 4-0.

There may not have been any offense, but, after the 1st inning, the pitching for the Loons was on point. Ronan Kopp turned in a great performance for Great Lakes going 2.2 innings scoreless & striking out 3. That’s his 2nd scoreless performance in a row for the Loons & his ERA is just 2.87 on the year, and his average against is just .169. He’s tough to barrel!

Kekai Rios was the bright spot offensively for Great Lakes collecting 2 of the 3 hits for Great Lakes. Rios has hits in back-to-back games and is 3 for his last 7 with a run scored and 3 total bases.

Carlos De Los Santos was flashing a big fastball and great changeup in his 1st outing with Great Lakes. He finished the last 2 outs of the 8th in a scoreless fashion which is his 4th scoreless outing in a row and 7th of his last 8. Check out the changeup for yourself!
Single A Rancho Cucamonga
